Her current research centers on empirical studies on community-based ecological disaster literacy and health communication. While working as a fellow at Sweetland Digital Rhetoric Collaborative during 2019-2020, she promoted scholarly conversations in community literacy and public writing pedagogy through social justice and environmental justice paradigms.
