Description of Work:

My area of research broadly focuses on harm reduction discourse and risk communication. The project I am currently working on examines the work of a nonprofit organization advocating for changes to state laws to allow for syringe exchange sites. I am looking at the discursive moves employed by the organization’s staff to navigate the historical, cultural, rhetorical, and material factors that have shaped current policy.
