Such points-of-intersection include those between medical research and practice, between mainstream and alternative models of health care, between doctors and patients, between expert and popular views of evidence, and among competing understandings of bodies, illness, and even the notion of health itself.\u00a0My\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colleenderkatch.com\/bounding-biomedicine-evidence-and-rhetoric-in-the-new-science-of-alternative-medicine\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">first book<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0examined rhetorical-professional boundary work in scientific studies of alternative medicine.
