Kuehl is an associate professor in the School of Communication and Journalism and the Women, Gender, &amp; Sexuality Studies program coordinator at South Dakota State University. Her research focuses on intersections among rhetorical citizenship and public deliberation, civic rhetoric and education, and women\u2019s health discourses. She is currently working on a book entitled, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cChoosing\u201d to breastfeed: U.S. breastfeeding policies and embodied breastfeeding rhetorics in practice<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her research has been funded by a Community Innovation Grant from the Bush Foundation, the charitable arm of 3M. Her research has appeared in edited books, including <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rhetoric: Concord and Controversy<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contemporary Rhetorical Citizenship<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speech and Debate as Civic Education<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the forthcoming <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rhetoric of Health &amp; Medicine As\/Is<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Her research has also appeared in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Southern Communication Journal, Communication Quarterly, Communication Design Quarterly Review, Health Communication, Translational Behavioral Medicine, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and the<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Journal of Human Lactation<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
