We gathered at the Kingsgate Marriott<\/a> on September 14-15, 2017 <\/strong>to continue our discussions focused on the rhetoric of health and medicine.<\/p>\n

We spent two days talking, listening, laughing, eating, and drinking (cause there is no crying in RHM!). You can see what we talked about from our schedule<\/a> and description of sessions.<\/a> We had two great keynotes<\/a> and a productive and useful works-in-progress session<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n

You can see some photos<\/a> that mark the occasion and hopefully demonstrate everyone needs to propose and come to the next one! Speaking of the next one, we’re already thinking through how that may work, since one of the sessions was focused on the issues of planning the symposium. Take a moment and read the summary<\/a> and let us know your thoughts and if you want to help in the planning.<\/p>\n

One of the greatest gifts we have to give one another is our time because there never seems to be enough of it. I am so thankful for each and every one of you who gave your time to attend the symposium and be engaged while there, but also to the larger community. We’re getting close to the perfect blend of intellectual engagement and rigor mixed with a big dose of fun. I am so honored and humbled to be such a small part of it all.<\/p>\n

I look forward to seeing what we come up with next.<\/p>\n
