My scholarship in the rhetoric of health and medicine (RHM) includes the recently published collection, co-edited with Lisa Meloncon,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Methodologies-Rhetoric-Health-Medicine-Meloncon\/dp\/1138235865\" rel=\"external\"><i>Methodologies for the Rhetoric of Health &amp; Medicine<\/i><\/a>; my book\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Risky-Rhetoric-Cultural-Practices-Testing\/dp\/0809324954\/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1502762759&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=risky+rhetoric\" rel=\"external\"><i>Risky Rhetoric: AIDS and the Cultural Practices of HIV Testing<\/i><\/a>; and articles in the\u00a0<i>Quarterly Journal of Speech<\/i>,\u00a0<i>College English<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Journal of Medical Humanities<\/i>, and other places.<\/p>\n<p>My scholarship professional and technical communication includes the collection, co-edited with Bernadette Longo and Katherine Wills,\u00a0<i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Critical-Power-Tools-Communication-Scientific\/dp\/0791467767\/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1502763273&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=critical+power+tools\" rel=\"external\">Critical Power Tools: Technical Communication and Cultural Studies<\/a><\/i>; the textbook, co-authored by Melody Bowdon,\u00a0<i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Service-Learning-Technical-Professional-Communication\/dp\/0205335608\/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1502763387&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=service+learning+in+technical+and+professional+communication\" rel=\"external\">Service-Learning in Technical and Professional Communication<\/a><\/i>; and articles in\u00a0<i>Technical Communication Quarterly<\/i>, the\u00a0<i>Journal of Business and Technical Communication<\/i>, and other places.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m currently working on a book that brings together theories of rhetoric, risk, and transnational movement to analyze global risk conflicts around pharmaceutical access and regulation.
