Description of Work:

My research mostly revolves around second language acquisition and writing studies but I came to learn about medical rhetoric during my doctoral studies and am currently focusing more on this. Apart from exploring the field, I am working on observing how different identity markers are presented across various resources discussing health and risk, especially in regards to COVID-19. I plan to extend my ongoing project (to be presented at the conference) and include more data to get a broader picture of how risk is signaled and whether identity plays a part in it or not.
