Description of Work:

Caroline Jennings is a fifth year PhD candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at Purdue University. Her dissertation project proposes curriculum development for clinical writing to correspond to medical simulation technologies and student training. Her dissertation argues that medical writing programs should incorporate a wider variety of medical charting genres and procedures to develop a rhetorical approach to clinical expertise and risk assessment. Her research interests outside RHM and writing pedagogy include Writing Across the Curriculum, Research Methods, Indigenous Rhetorics, and Technical Writing. At Purdue University, she has taught introductory composition, technical writing, and writing for the healthcare professions. She is a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
