Description of Work: 

My current work looks at the intersection of rhetorics of health and wellness, activist rhetorics, and public writing. My recent projects include analysis of activists’ use of embodied and health-related rhetorics in activist movements in Kansas City, Missouri as well as public writing projects related to both activist and medical rhetorics. I am also beginning a grant-funded project on citizen health journalism, in collaboration with faculty in the School of Nursing and Independent Media Association, a Kansas City-based citizen journalism project.
