Description of Work:

My recent book, Zoetropes and the Politics of Humanhood (2020), tracks the public discourses that transvalue living entities and includes case studies on rhetorics of gut microbes, fetuses, and privileged biocitizens. My current book project is an edited volume called Covid And…How to do Rhetoric in a Pandemic, co-edited with Emily Winderman and Jen Malkowski. I am also writing a piece on contemporary features of male entitlement.
