Description of Work:
M. Todd Harper, PhD, is an Associate Professor of English at Kennesaw State University, where he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in argumentation, rhetorical theory, food and travel writing for the past 21 years. Although much of his teaching and research has focused on international learning (Todd leads students abroad each summer and coordinates Kennesaw’s Annual Year of Country Study Program), he has recently delved into the rhetoric of health and medicine. He is currently working on a project with Morgan Carter and Cara Ryfun that examines how the Obama and Trump administrations have framed the opioid crisis as well as how communication occurs within the context of Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous. The three writers are hoping to begin publishing their research soon in three separate articles.
