Description of Work:

I am an early career researcher in rhetorics of health and medicine. My work is primarily concerned with rhetorics of women’s health, contraception, and feminine hygiene. My dissertation examined the Lysol douche as a form for contraception for sale in the U.S. when birth control was illegal. I am currently working on cultural messages involving health stigmas and health disparities, especially in the areas of reproduction and sexual health.
