Description of your work
My work examines narrative in relationship to illness related groups in Facebook. I’ve recently taken a return look at characteristics of folklore in relationship to these same groups as I think folklore supplies a unique lens through which to view the narratives people share in illness related groups. The project I’m bringing to the symposium is a collaborative effort with Dr. Ben Sword and one which we aim to bring folklore, Facebook and illness narratives together. Additionally, I have a couple of ongoing projects related to usability/UI design, visual design and lastly a pending project on British crime dramas
