Description of your work
I am an independent scholar with PhD in English. My current project looks at the historical intersection of religion and science in medical communication and how a feminist reading of history this in the early American republic speaks to contemporary problems in both American medicine and medical communication. My training in rhetorical studies lead to my interest in the history of scientific communication and more specifically, what people experience physically and how they fit what they experience physically into a folk scientific framework.
